New recip control released
ACI Services Inc. has developed a processing unit, eRCM Express, to facilitate safe and optimal control of reciprocating compressor unloading and performance.
ERCM Express is the culmination of several years of development and two years of successful field experience, imbedding ACI’s eRCM compressor performance model inside an industrial-grade computer that can interface with most package or station PLCs.
Once the performance model is uploaded to the unit’s solid state drive and the unit is digitally serialized at the factory, no further programming is required to be able to rapidly and continuously compute optimal and safe load steps, rod loads, degrees of reversal and other compressor cylinder data of interest.
ACI Services said its eRCM device can perform all necessary compressor performance predictions, driver and frame checks, OEM safety checks requiring simple calculations and OEM safety checks requiring complex calculations.
